Child Safety Standards
Yaara · Effective 16 September 2026 · Operated by Yaara Labs
Yaara is a paid voice, video and chat service for adults. This page sets out our standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), published in line with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy, the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (POCSO) and the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
1. Adults only
- You must be 18 or older to use Yaara, as a customer or as a listener. This is a condition of our Terms.
- Every listener completes identity verification (KYC) against a government ID before they can take a single call. Age is checked as part of that.
- Accounts found or reasonably suspected to belong to a minor are closed. Balances are refunded to the payment source where the law allows.
- The app is listed for adults on the store and is not designed for, marketed to, or appealing to children.
2. Zero tolerance for CSAE
We prohibit, and act immediately on, any content or conduct that sexualises, exploits, grooms, or endangers a minor, including:
- child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form — images, video, audio, drawings, text, or links;
- sexual conversation with, about, or involving a minor, including role-play;
- grooming, solicitation, sextortion, or arranging to meet a minor;
- sharing personal information of a minor for any sexual purpose;
- any attempt to bring a minor onto the service.
A first, confirmed violation ends the account permanently. There is no warning tier for CSAE.
3. How we enforce this
- In-app reporting on every profile, chat and call: Report → choose a reason (including "involves a minor" and "sexual content") → optional details. Reports about minors are reviewed first, ahead of every other queue.
- Blocking is instant and mutual: a blocked user can no longer see, call or message you.
- Human review of every report by our trust-and-safety staff, with the power to suspend immediately while a review completes.
- Automated screening of uploaded images (profile, verification documents) and text for known CSAM signatures and grooming patterns, with matches escalated to a human.
- Calls are not recorded. Reports about a call are assessed on the account's history, the reporter's statement, and any chat around the call.
4. Reporting to the authorities
We report confirmed CSAM and credible CSAE to the relevant authorities and hotlines, including the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in) and, where applicable, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). We preserve the related account data for the period the law requires and respond to lawful requests from law enforcement within the timelines set out on our Grievance page.
5. How to report a concern
- In the app: open the profile, chat or call and tap Report. This is the fastest route.
- By email: support@meetyaara.com with the subject "Child safety". You do not need an account to report.
- If a child is in immediate danger, contact the police (112) or Childline (1098) first, then report to us.
You will get an acknowledgement within 24 hours and a decision within the timelines on the Grievance page. We never share a reporter's identity with the person reported.
6. Designated child safety contact
Yaara Support Team
Child safety point of contact and Grievance Officer, Yaara
Yaara Labs, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, India
This contact is able to receive notices from Google Play and from law enforcement about child safety, and to act on them.
7. Review
These standards are reviewed at least once a year and whenever the law or the platform policies we operate under change. The effective date at the top of this page is the date of the last revision.
