We want every problem heard and fixed. This page explains how to complain, who handles it, and how quickly we respond. It is published under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

2. How to raise a grievance

  1. Try support first for everyday issues (payments, payouts, KYC, app bugs): support@meetyaara.com or the contact form. Most issues are resolved here within 2 working days.
  2. If unresolved, or for complaints about content, conduct, privacy, a data-protection right, or a decision we made about your account, email the Grievance Officer with the subject "Grievance". Include: the email on your Yaara account, what happened, when, any call or payment IDs, and what outcome you want.
  3. You may also write to the postal address above.

3. Our timeline

Removal of content that is clearly unlawful (for example nudity or impersonation) when reported by the affected person24 hours
Response to law-enforcement or court ordersAs required by the order, and no later than 72 hours for information requests
Resolution and written reply for all other grievances, including data-protection requests30 days of receipt

4. If you are not satisfied

  • Data protection: you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India after exhausting this process.
  • Consumer disputes: you may approach the National Consumer Helpline (1915, consumerhelpline.gov.in) or the consumer commission having jurisdiction.
  • Content and intermediary matters: you may appeal to the Grievance Appellate Committee within 30 days of our decision (gac.gov.in).

5. Urgent safety issues

If someone is in immediate danger, contact the police (112) first. Then report the user in the app and email the Grievance Officer with "URGENT" in the subject; we prioritise these reports.
